Trail Tool KitFrom the beginning, mountain biking has always been about being self-sufficient on the trail. A basic trail tool kit should help you deal with any problem you may encounter while being out there. Here’s what to pack: 1.A bicycle pump is a necessity on the trail. 2. Tire levers help you remove your tires if you need to fix a flat. 3. An extra tube or tubes are an absolute must for any rider. 4. A patch kit will help you when you’ve gone through all your extra tubes. 5. A chain tool is required if you need to remove links or fix a broken chain. 6. If you have an assortment of metric allan keys (preferably ones that fit the nuts and bolts that are on your bike), you can tighten, add, remove or fix anything that is attached to your frame by this method. 7. A spoke wrench is handy for tightening loose spokes. 8. Zip ties are useful for quick (temporary) fixes, such as fastening a broken derailleur in place. 9. A small amount of duct tape is always useful. |
